The “You are In” Photography Contest Exhibition is opening on the 4th of May at the Ankara Kızılay Metro Station organized within the framework of Human Resources Development Operational Programme (HRD OP), implemented by Ministry of Labour and Social Security European Union Coordination Department. The photos qualified to receive award and copy rights in the contest will be exhibited. In the exhibition photographs taken under the stunning headings such as women and youth employment, girls enrollment, life-long learning will be presented. The closing of the exhibition will be on the 9th of May, The European Day. 

The opening will be held on the 4th of May 2012 with the participation of the Minister of Labour and Social Security, Mr. Faruk Çelik and European Union Delegation Vice President Mr. Tibor Varadi.

The Ministry is Accredited


The Ministry is accredited by European Union Commission as of January 31, 2012  as Human Resources Development Operating Structure regarding contract management, procurement and financing of all the Operations being implemented under the Human Resources Development Operational Programme in the scope of European Union Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance Component IV. 

 

 

Following October 3rd, 2005, when Turkey’s negotiation process started, the financial cooperation which is an important pillar of the overall EU and Turkey relations, significantly transformed. As a result of this change, different financial assistances provided under various programmes gathered under “Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA)”, which aims to prepare the EU candidate countries for membership; to reduce economic and social differences between the member states and candidate countries, for the period between 2007 and 2013. Consequently a new structure established, in where different institutions from Turkey have various roles, to facilitate these fundings.

As Ministry of Labor and Social Security, in this restructuring prosess, our responsibility is in the scope of ‘’Human Resource Development Component’’ ,which is one of the most important component of this aid instrument, preparation of Operationel Programme and managing of the funds provided in this Programme.

The mentioned Operational Programme for Human Resources Development is the main reference document that defines the use of financial aids of EU to provide assistance on solving preferential problems of our country, which are

1. Employment,

2. Education,

3. Fighting Social Exclusion (Social Service and Aids).

All operations and projects to be implemented under this scope should be based on this document. The document is prepared by the department of IPA Management, which is under the EU Coordination Department and is the main responsible body from the management of the funding, and approved by European Commission on December 2007.
